Political satirist PJ O'Rourke has written 10 books at this point, most of them flowing with cutting wit and conservative insights from his travels.

Known for his one-line quips from the Gulf War and time spent with communist rebels in jungles of the Philippines, his newest book is a take-off on Oliver Wendell Holmes' "The Autocrat of the Breakfast Table," called "The CEO of the Sofa." While you'll recognize all kinds of expected O'Rourke-isms, you'll notice one great travel tale in the book as well. PJ drove 1,700 miles of chaos called "The Grand Trunk Road" on a junket from Khyber Pass to Calcutta. And even though his car held up fine, this was a junket -- with an emphasis on "junk."
