Thanksgiving with the Chicago Transportation Authority

A couple of years ago, my family and I traveled by car to Chicago. We intended to spend a week in the Midwest metropolis having fun and visiting the Baha'i House of Worship. Shortly after our arrival, we realized that our car was a liability downtown. With the trepidation, we ventured into the world of public transportation. The expectations we had were those of brusque attendants, indifferent drivers and complicated routes. Well, the routes were intricate and convoluted and our misdirection was hilarious. But the people we met at the gate and at the wheel of Chicago Transportation Authority's system were genuinely kind and patient. Drivers, who saw we were on the wrong bus, gave us passes and directions to board the right bus. Attendants at the "EL" gates gave us step-by-step instructions on how to get back to our hotel for the night. The gals and guys of the CTA turned our vacation into a delightful adventure. I already wrote them a thank you note, but I would appreciate your mentioning their valor on the air.
