Cleveland Comments Inappropriate

I am an attorney in the Cleveland area. For years I have always made a point of tuning into your program. It is very informative and entertaining--until today. As I sit here at work, I just heard a comment on your show that Cleveland, Ohio has a large/the largest US population of Slovenians. Your comment to this was something like, "I am from Cleveland and I can't imagine why they would choose Cleveland as a place to settle."

Trust me, I have seen Cleveland when it was in terrible shape. But I have also seen it completely turn around over the past decade. I've since learned that only ignorant people continue to make negative comments about Cleveland. Anyone who travels has usually been to Cleveland and knows they couldn't justify making such a negative comment anymore. Sure, it is not as exciting as Chicago or New York City, etc. But saying on a national program that you can't imagine why someone would choose Cleveland was just uncalled for. Comments like that perpetuate a stereotype of Cleveland that doesn't even exist anymore. I wouldn't want that said about any U.S. city for that matter. Today I lost a great deal of respect for you and your show--and you have certainly lost a listener.

Truly disappointed,

--Cynthia
