Small Souvenir -- Big Memory
I'm not much into airport shopping, but maybe 15 years or so ago I
spent a fair amount of time traveling from Vermont to work in Yuma,
Arizona. Phoenix was the western hub airport and once on a return trip
I picked up one of those ubiquitous little barrel cacti sold through
out the southwest. Unique, no, but a great reminder of an interesting
career experience in an area that I have not visited very often since
then. That little three or four incher is now 15 inches high and is
one of my favorite plants.
