Best Travel Author
Without a doubt - Bill Bryson. His tales of stumbling around Britain and
the rest of Europe are hilarious.
Check out Neither Here nor There or Notes from a Small Island,
or The Lost Continent, which is a kind of Travels with
Charley around the U.S. without the dog on tow.
He is, of course, also the author of the current bestseller, A Walk in
the Woods, which chronicles his attempt to complete the Appalachian
Trail.
Bryson's next effort is to be an account of travels in Australia. A
fantastic author. I'd love to have a couple of beers with him, as I am
sure that you would too. You seem to be a soul mate of his.
