Road Music

I found this question to be funny because it's a question I used to ask as a pick up line. So I have some very defined opinions about when to listen to and where. I would suggest driving a convertible whenever you have to make a long trip, except in winter of course. Having the wind blowing in your hair while listening to a halfway decent stereo system also adds to the experience.

For flat open areas like Texas and New Mexico I would have to say the ultimate driving experience is listening to Led Zeppelin "Kashmir" from the Physical Graffiti album.

After driving all night when the passengers are sleeping at 6:00 p.m. and you think that you want to annoy them , put on James Brown's Greatest Hits. Not only will they not be angry, but everyone will feel like a party early in the morning.

For the Riviera in France and in Italy I recommend the "Pulp Fiction" Soundtrack or some great sound tracks of 1960's films by Ennio Morricone.

In any car when it's raining I like to listen to Canada's great band The Guess Who.
