Road Music

This is probably not your typical road music but I love to pop in the soundtrack from "The Last of the Mohicans" starring Daniel Day-Lewis. The habit started when I went to graduate school in Cooperstown, NY--yes, where James Fenimore Cooper was born--and drove back and forth to Massachusetts, where my family lives. The dramatic music always matched the beautiful scenery, especially around the Hudson River and the Berkshire mountains in western Massachusetts. Now that I drive from Delaware to Massachusetts, I find that the music from the opening scene in the movie will give me the adrenaline rush I need to face the N.J. turnpike and most of the rest of it will keep me calm once I'm in all that traffic.
