Changing Babies on Planes
Just thought you should know this. I heard a woman on the show a
week or two ago complain about not being able to change a baby on
an airplane, and it sounded like you did NOT know that some
planes now have changing tables in the bathrooms. They're not
full-blown changing stations like you'll find in a real public
bathroom, but instead the wall behind the toilet folds down over
the toilet to form a lovely little shelf that's just the right
size.
I live in Minneapolis, so I almost always (have to) fly
Northwest, so I think it's on NW planes that I've run into this;
on the other hand, I've developed such a hatred for NW that I
keep hoping it was on one of my rare trips on American that I
found the changing tables. Anyway, thought you should know and
be able to let other moms know that sometimes there are places to
change babies -- and presumably, the airline could tell you in
advance whether or not your plane is equipped for it.
