A General Comment
I really enjoyed your travel essay on your trip to Israel. All at
once, you managed to articulate the divide that separates
Israelis from the rest of the Jews in the world and the struggle
non-Israelis experience with their own personal relationships
with Israel.
I found your affectionate treatment of the different subjects in
your story moving. You handled often-fought-over subjects with
the grace and respect of someone who has a great gift of
communication.
As well as writing and freelancing for PRI, I hope that teaching
will be in your future because if I ever have children, I hope
they can learn from someone like you.
