Venice: Taxes
I love Italy. But, if Venice imposes toilet taxes or a charge of
one cent to enter San Marco I promise that no member of my family
will set foot in that city. A charge to use the facilities is
fair. Upkeep is necessary. However admission to the public areas
is outright theft. Tourists spend a fortune every summer in
Italy. If Italy is going to play this game they may find that
Americans may prefer the rude French to the now wonderful
Italians. Don't kill the golden goose, Venice. You may find
yourself knee deep in $%^& in your paid toilets.
