Sumo
I lived in Japan for seven years and as did many ex-pats, my husband
and I became ardent sumo
fans, watching on T.V. every basho and going to see the Tokyo
basho. Even managed to visit the training gyms a few times.
Sumo should not be categorized as "wrestling," as this ancient
sport is not wrestling as we know it. Americans love to categorize
things in order to make them
familiar as in koala or panda "bear". Hope you can make that
distinction.
