My Favorite Slice of Paradise
My favorite location is a Amish Bed & Breakfast located here in Ohio;
about 80 miles south of Cleveland and north of Columbus. The Inn at
Honey Run has a Web site (URL: ), fantastic food and peace-full surroundings.
My bride asd I spend winter solstice or New Years eve and an
occasional equinox in this location. I find myself better rested
after a weekend at the Inn at Honey Run than a week to 10 days
vacation anywhere else. Their slogan "You'll arrive as a guest and
leave as a part of our family!" is more than just words. We have
become part of their extended family.
They say it better than I can; their accommodations range from ROOMS
IN THE INN....beautifully and individually decorated...solid wood
furniture, crafted in Holmes County. Bi-level rooms with sky lights.
All rooms oversized with living room areas...upholstered chairs
selected for comfort...reading lamps...concealed
televisions...cassette clock radios. A deluxe Continental Breakfast
included in the room price. ROOMS IN THE HONEYCOMBS.... Private
...serene ... relaxing Deluxe rooms ... each with stone patio ...
cozy fireplace (gas logs on the 1st floor ... wood burning on the 2nd
floor) ... VCR's and television concealed behind doors...cassette
clock radios ... bathtubs with whirlpool jets. Continental Breakfast
served to your room at the time YOU request ...lunch and dinner a
short walk downhill through the woods to the INN and GUEST COTTAGES
designed for adults ... high on the hill, hidden in the woods ...
panoramic views ... outdoor decks. Each with living room ... wood
burning fireplace .. skylight ... comfortable sofa and chairs ...
desk ... dining table ... television, VCR. Kitchenette with two
burner hotplate, microwave ...toaster oven ... coffee maker ...
plates and utensils. Washer/dryer. Undercover parking for one car.
The Cardinal has 2 bedrooms, each with queen bed and private
bathroom. The Trillium, their special occasion cottage has a queen
bedroom and a Jacuzzi tub room.
When you come back to Ohio, you need to take the time and visit them.
They are worth every minute of your drive time to and from their
facility. I volunteer to be your personal guide if your travel
brings you into Cleveland.
Thank you for all your travel advice. Your program is an educational
opportunity of immense value. Both my wife & I enjoy your program
and frequently rearrange our Saturday schedules to listen to your
program on either WCPN (90.3) from Cleveland or WKSU (89.7) from Kent
Ohio.
