This Week: Travel Resolutions With the New Year upon us we thought it would be great to hear some of your resolutions for the year 2000. Rudy's especially proud to say that his previous year's resolution was fulfilled -- twice actually. He resolved to go to Spain in 1999. He couldn't very well sustain being "The Savvy Traveler" not having been to that country -- and besides, it's a beautiful place with so many rich cultures (not to mention the delicious food). Well, he liked it so much that he decided to go back a second time. As far as this year goes, he resolves to be more neighborly on long flights and bring a snack or two for his seatmates. A nice pastry or some fruit is a great way to introduce yourself to someone, especially if you're going to be sitting next to them for the next eight hours.
Next Week: Travel Mistakes We want to hear about the biggest mistake you've made on the road. Did a language mistake with the hotel concierge result in red faces or maybe a date? Perhaps you made a social faux pas, like calling the Queen Mother "Mrs. Windsor." (I don't know what's going to happen the next time I do that.) Send us an email or call 888-SAV-TRAV (888-728-8728) and tell me about your biggest travel mistake...and, we promise, first names only.
