This week's Question: Border Stories You know, one of the hassles of traveling is the inevitable border check. Of course, I understand the need for border patrols and customs agents and so on, but doesn't it seem like the whole thing's set up in the most inconvenient, most confusing way possible? Well, a few weeks ago I asked you to call in with your stories about crossing the border. You've got to hear these.
Next Week: Spiritual Journeys Those border stories, even with a happy ending, are enough to make anybody a little wary. Fortunately, there are other kinds of trips that serve to soothe your mind and your soul. I want you to call and tell me about your spiritual journeys. How has traveling put your mind at ease, or back on the right track? Some people consider a tour of Bethlehem or a visit to a Buddhist monastery a spiritual journey. But I have a friend who says surfing is a kind of cosmic undertaking. Every year, he says, the waves come into Mexico's Pacific Coast in a way you have to see to believe. So each Fall, around October or November, he packs his truck up and heads south. And when he gets back, he's always a bit more contemplative, more relaxed and more focused. Send us an email or call 888-SAV-TRAV (888-728-8728) with the stories of your spiritual journeys, or call.
