Deal of the Week
If you've always dreamed of sailing on the Queen Elizabeth Two with
the love of your life, but were put off by the price, well, check out
my deal of the week.
Cunard is offering a two-for-one special. A couple booking the
cheapest inside cabin for the early December sailing from New York
City to England would normally pay $5,300. That includes airfare back
to New York, port charges, and other taxes. The two-for-one deal
reduces the total to $3,400. And if you really want bargain basement,
go stand by, an option available on all QE two sailings.
You won't know until a month before the departure date whether you
made the cut, though Cunard says 80 per cent of passengers do.
Stand-by fare on the December date is $400 off the two-for-one deal.
Keep that stand-by option in mind in the future, as well. The QE Two
on the cheap--that's my deal of the week.
