The Singapore Air disaster continues raising questions this week among aviation officials, and from surviving passengers. Many wonder how they'll get on with their lives after they put the initial trauma aside.

I spoke with Mary Kale this week. She, her husband and son all survived the Sioux City, Iowa crash back in 1989. One of that plane's engines exploded in-flight, and then the plane broke apart while attempting to land.

Mary now uses her experience from the ordeal to help other flyers. She's a member of the National Air Disaster Alliance and Foundation, which lobbies for flight safety. And while she's moved on with her life, she tells us, she still has vivid recollections of the day her plane went down.

If you'd like us to address your travel questions or concerns, send us an email. Or, you can snail-mail them in. The address is The Savvy Traveler, in care of the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, California 90007. Or call me at 888-SAV-TRAV.
