We've been talking about different generations traveling together this week - kids, parents and grandparents enjoying each other's company on the road or driving one another crazy. But sometimes, traveling together isn't an option. Sometimes you might have to send a child on a flight alone.

This past summer, the issue of kids flying alone made headlines when a couple of youngsters ended up in the wrong city. And September 11th has made many adults leery about flying - forget putting a kid on a plane. Is it safe for children to fly solo? And what are the airlines' policies regarding jetsetting youngsters?
