Deal of the Week: Fire and Ice Ryekjavic, Iceland is only a five-hour flight from the East Coast. The locals are delightful and speak English. The country is clean and green, and the fish is great. Now, add a little Cuban music, and you've got the makings of a great party. Because if there's anything Icelanders know how to do, it's party. And on April 30th, the Buena Vista Social Club plays a concert there. Icelandair has put together a package that includes airfare, airport transfers, two hotel nights including breakfast as well as a ticket to the concert. The price including all those annoying airport and ticket taxes is $587 from East Coast airports such as JFK, Boston and BWI. Basically, it's a whole package for just 100 dollars more than the regular airfare. The deal's based on two people traveling together. If you're traveling alone, add $49 per day. Here's your chance to see the Cuban musicians who have played to sold-out audiences in New York, Washington and Amsterdam. And by April 30th, it's around 40 degrees in Iceland and daylight there stretches beyond 9 p.m., so you'll have plenty of time to soak in a geothermal pool or two. That's useful therapy if you go with the local flow and party 'til 7 in the morning. Call Icelandair Vacations at 800-779-28-99 for details. Fire and ice - Cuban music and Iceland - for $587. That's my Deal of the Week!
