Deal of the Week: Splash Into Savings

Where I live, you can almost see summer. The daffodils are up and the cherry blossoms are peaking right now in Washington, DC. But you still need a coat, and at night it's downright chilly. Which is why I like the packages that American Airlines and Club Med have put together for travel between April 23rd and June 29th.

They're called "Splash Into Savings" deals, and they're three, four, and seven-night packages for families as well as adults traveling without kids. A package includes airfare and - as usual at Club Med - all meals, beverages and many sports activities. Savings are between 25 to 30 percent depending on your day of travel and destination. Here are some sample per-person prices based on at least two people traveling together for three-night getaways: $619 to Cancun from New York...$899 from L.A. to the Turks & Caicos in the Caribbean...$599 from Miami to Paradise Island in the Bahamas.
