Fuji Nuts

Just listening to the Saturday show and someone mentioned an interesting bit of food he had in Japan. It reminded me of having had Fuji nuts as some point, somewhere. I now forget where, and unhappily, when. But I do remember Fuji nuts, because they were so unexpected -- and so good!!

They are made from peanuts. Seemingly, the peanut is split apart, then a single grain of popped rice is inserted between the two halves of the nut, then it is tied up with a short piece of seaweed and tied with a bow!

I recall saying to my companion that it was something that would never be made and sold in the U.S.!
