Visiting Missions
I used to live in Tucson and I enjoyed your response about that
area this week.
Rather than the mission just outside of Tucson, I much prefer the
older mission at Tumacacori on the way to Nogales. It is no longer an
active church so I don't feel like I am intruding on others' worship.
There is a wonderful little museum there where the staff is wonderful.
On Easter I understand they decorate and really put themselves out for
visitors. About Christmas, I am not sure, since I did not spend a
Christmas in Tucson. It is a nice picnic spot. The peace I feel there
is palpable.
