Connecting in Europe
You took a call about being able to get on line while in Europe. This is a
question near and dear to my heart as I travel frequently for business in
an unpredictable pattern which has lately included Europe. I have been
using EUNet's World Traveler program. They have POP's in all European
countries, Australia, the US and many other places - 3000 POPs in all -
often with a toll-free number. It suits my purpose in many ways:
- Although there is a $40 sign up cost (which included enough free
minutes for my first two trips), there is no regular charges after that -
only per minute charges for actual use - great for an uncertain schedule.
 - Free POPs in most major cities, and all over the U.S.
 - It does not include an email account - the basis for this program is
that you need access to the Net to collect your normal mail.
 - Tech support numbers in every country (and they were actually helpful
the one time I needed them)
