Housekeeping
Thank you for your piece on the important job that the
housekeeping staff performs at hotels. I also heartily endorse
the idea that a guest should always leave a tip for the
housekeeper. I was surprised to hear that so few guests leave
tips for housekeeping. I can't understand how people can easily
tip someone $5 for checking their coat or moving their car 50
yards yet not extend the same courtesy to someone who has spent
a half-hour to an hour everyday straightening and cleaning
their room.
