Pumpkin Follow Up

A little follow-up by your reporters would have revealed that a pumpkin traveling 3500 feet in 15 seconds is traveling at an average velocity of just under 160 mph, not 600 mph as claimed by spectators.

Has a pumpkin ever broken sound barrier?

Okay, okay, I'm a nit-picking geek. Nolo contendere. I'm sorry.

That said, your show is great, and fills a real need on public radio. We listen faithfully every week, sometimes twice (you're rebroadcast in this market).

Keep up the good work, and don't get hit by any flying pumpkins, regardless of their speed!

Cheers,

--Rich Alpert
